I do not consider myself to be a scared person. Usually I’m just nervous until I get started at whatever daunting task might present itself.
Today however, I’m heading up to NY for a funeral for my Aunt Diane. My Dad’s oldest sister and my godmother – Aunt Diane had an infectious laugh, a kind smile, and a wonderful life.
I am blessed to be able to be with my family as we celebrate her life.
But as with any passing, you can’t help but feel the sadness and a little bit of fear. Today and tomorrow at the services I will be praying for peace and acceptance, and above all faith.
We are given a beautiful life to live. Don’t forget to live each moment. Not in a cliche way, but really! Look around you and smell the coffee, eat the doughnuts, and tell your smallest cousin that you love him/her. Be present, be persistent, and be still when necessary.
Since I’m not writing a proper post, for those of you new to She is Moments, here are a few of my favorite musings!
